Our Story

A Journey to Financial Mindfulness

At the heart of our mission is the belief that true financial well-being goes beyond numbers—it’s about clarity, values, and peace of mind.

Our journey began with founder Zunie Nguyen, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Texas and California, who spent years at top accounting firms before realizing that most financial guidance focuses only on technical results, not on purpose-driven financial decisions.

Through her own path—balancing a demanding career with personal exploration, including yoga and mindful living—Zunie saw how deeply financial stress affects people’s mental health and life choices. She discovered that the way we make financial decisions should align with what truly matters to us

This insight sparked a new approach: financial mindfulness—the practice of making financial choices thoughtfully, with awareness of personal values, goals, and emotional well-being. Rather than letting numbers control us, financial mindfulness teaches us how to use our resources to support a life of intention and autonomy.

Since launching our work in 2020, we’ve helped individuals, entrepreneurs, and families navigate complex financial decisions with confidence and calm. We’re here to guide you toward financial independence, peace of mind, and a more fulfilling relationship with money.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people explore their finances with the same awareness and compassion they bring to other meaningful parts of life. We believe financial clarity doesn’t come from striving for perfection but rather from understanding yourself, your priorities, your values, & your emotional patterns around money.

So we built an approach that follows a gentle, thoughtful path:
Understanding where you are now
Reflecting on what matters to you
Making intentional choices that support the life you want

Over time, this way of thinking creates what we call a ZEN financial state:
not a destination, but a relationship with money that feels grounded rather than stressful. Our work is an ongoing exploration—listening to people’s stories, learning from their challenges, and offering tools that help them navigate money with confidence, calm, and self-awareness. Financial mindfulness isn’t a product.
It’s a practice.

And we’re here to help people begin.

About Us

With a mission for Financial Mindfulness, Yogi CPA created this educational site to help young professionals and family offices prepare for the Great Wealth Transfer.

Our name, "Transcend", is inspired by a book of the same name by Scott Barry Kaufman, a psychologist who studied Maslow's hierarchy of needs. We believe there are more to humanity than self-actualization. We seek to elevate the next generations to transcendence values with their financial impact.
